Kris Ramsay is a Sydney based, Australian born Artist. Specialising in Fine Celtic Art, working with and sculpting acrylic mediums on canvas and clay board.
Kris has always felt a strong connection to her Scottish heritage. In her teenage years, she became enthralled by the interwoven geometric motifs of Celtic Art. Kris gives her artworks Scottish Gaidhlig names.
Inspired, Kris endeavoured to learn and cultivate her ability into her own unique designs, drawing the viewer in to investigate the dimensional illusion which makes her works look carved from natural elements, rather than a painted work of art.
Drawing and painting have become an integral part of Kris's life, helping her through the struggles of coping with her complex, mental health and memory issues. Her husband and The Ryde council Cornucopia art group, with mentor Dr Neville Dawson have been great supports in her artistic endeavours.
